In light of our beautiful new DSLR camera we got this summer, and the fact that I had a relatively light schedule this semester, since I was in my last semester of classes (but turned out to be quite busy), I took advantage of my "prix fixe" tuition and decided to take a photography class. We just finished our last project for the class, so I wanted to share some of my images from this semester (and also because Basile keeps posting pictures!). PROJECT 1: BLACK AND WHITE Flute
Bug on a Flower
Cappuccino
Espresso
Espresso Machine
PROJECT 2: SELF-PORTRAYAL Looking Through My Lens
God's Great Love
Sweet Tooth
Leaf
Looking at Myself At Various Angles
PROJECT 3: SIGNS OF OUR TIMES The only one actually liked was the one below, because the rest of them really sucked, due to doing this project last minute. Pay Phone vs. Cell Phone
PROJECT 4: "NEW ENGLAND" PORTFOLIO Some of you may know that I went to Boston in November for the ASHA (speech and language) convention. I spent the following week out there, since it was the week before Thanksgiving, and I didn't think it was worth it to fly back for only 2 days of class and then fly back out out to see my brother-in-law's new baby. So I took advantage of my time out there. It was cold. But so beautiful. Memorial Church, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
Stata Center/Building 32, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA
Johnathan Corwin Witch House, Salem, MA
Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse, Cape Elizabeth, ME
Pilgrim Monument, Provincetown, MA
Nauset Lighthouse, Eastham, MA
Boston Skyline from Harvard Bridge, Cambridge, MA

Many of these photos became subjects of frustration after print, because what I saw on my computer did not match on print. The cost of each print also added to my frustration; for some assignments, I paid up to $60. But hopefully all of these photos come out how I had meant for them to look on your computer screens. At least I didn't have to pay anything to post them on xanga! Thanks for viewing! :) |
